Come join this “Step It Up!” workshop for Level 1-3 Students
Sunday August 23 12:45 – 3:15 pm
Our lifestyles have changed dramatically in recent months. Many of us are in need of methods that help us develop proper ways to sit and care for our hips. Padmasana or “lotus pose” is considered the most stable and auspicious of meditation seats. It requires both mobility and stability in the hip, knee and ankle joints. The process of exploring the movements and actions of padmasana in the lower body not only develop a stable seat, but also bring vitality to the legs and hips.
Anneke will introduce ways to safely approach working with the hips, knees and ankles through a fun practice of poses that feature padamasana.
This workshop is geared towards students with at least one year of study in Iyengar yoga. Prior experience with padmasana is NOT required.
The workshop will be held over Zoom and limited attendance to maximize student/teacher connection. You will get the recording so you can continue the momentum after the workshop.
“Action is movement with intelligence. The world is filled with movement.
What the world needs is more conscious movement, more action.” – BKS Iyengar
