Yoga Fundamentals

4 Wednesdays 7 – 8 am
September 9, 16, 23 and 30th
This 4-session series is specially designed for beginners. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar Yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. Designed for total beginners and students who want a better understanding of the foundational poses of Iyengar Yoga. All body types and abilities are welcome. Anneke can offer you alternatives and modifications so the practice meets your needs and interests.
Each 75-minute session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. You will get the most out of the classes if you attend them all.

- Held in-person at our location in South Berkeley.
- Register for all 4 sessions in the series for a discounted rate of $99.
- Drop ins are allowed.
- Students may also use their monthly memberships or class packs.
- If you have a New Student Pass (2 weeks unlimited), you can join the sessions within those two weeks using your pass. Afterwards, purchase a drop-in/membership/class pack to cover the additional sessions.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Ramona Atanacio (she/her) is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She first began a daily practice in law school to support her busy and active lifestyle. Ramona’s love for the practice grew as she learned that the study of yoga, and the discovery of the mind and body, was limitless. This led her to deepen her study of yoga through an initial teacher training program and Ashtanga yoga, which eventually led to Iyengar Yoga. She has found Iyengar Yoga to bring a much greater awareness and focus to her practice and life.
Ramona likes to teach an Iyengar Yoga class that is approachable, invigorating, and fun, while also blending therapeutic and restorative elements of yoga. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking Indian food in an Instant Pot and learning new dance moves.
