Yoga for Your Feet

As babies, one of our first wonders is finding our own toes and feet. Then we encased our feet in socks and shoes and pretty much forgot about them….until yoga! A healthy structure of the foot is the key to structural stability and mobility in the hips and lower back. Healthy proprioception in the foot also helps with cognitive function, particularly as we age. B.K.S. Iyengar said, if you balance your feet, you balance your brain.
Join Cynthia for an afternoon of building awareness in the feet.

About the Instructor:
Cynthia Bates is a seasoned Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Intermediate Junior II level. Her goal as a teacher of yoga is singular, to inspire transformational experiences that lead to positive life change. For Cynthia, injury, illness and trauma can all be used as a skillful means for spiritual practice. She is a devoted student of Manouso Manos, Victoria Austin, B.K.S. Iyengar and the Iyengar family with whom she had the honor of studying with in India in 2010, 2012 and 2014. She furthers her education by assisting Manouso Manos weekly in public classes and participating in specialized yoga therapeutics training with Manouso Manos and Lois Steinberg.
