Special Series: Iyengar Yoga & Your Mental Health
March 17, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Iyengar Yoga & Your Mental Health
starts Wednesday, March 3rd
7:30 – 9 pm
with Rebecca Haralabatos
In this 4-session series, we will explore how our yoga community and asana practice can serve our emotional well-being during this extended pandemic experience.
Each class will begin with a brief check in and reflection. The asana practice will bring specific attention to our felt experience. We will observe the effects of the different poses – how they energize, ground & stabilize, uplift, inspire confidence or create calm. And, we’ll notice how the sequence overall shifts our presence from when we first started.
This series will give you an opportunity to practice in a safe and welcoming space, strengthen your ability to tap into the yoga resources you already have, and help us all move with greater equanimity through this pandemic together.
This is an All Levels series geared for any student of yoga at Level 1 or above.
This program is for you if:
- You want to find more grounding and emotional stability from your yoga practice.
- Your yoga practice has meandered. You long to be drawn deeper into yoga, to access it for your mental health.
- You seek space to voice your struggles with yoga, and to practice in a way that feels welcoming and sustainable.
- You want to feel more empowered in using the resources you already have
- You come to class regularly already and yet during this challenging time want to move in more deeply.
- You have a vata orientation, so getting a consistent program going has been hard.
