Saturdays 10:45 – 11:45 am starts June 20
This 4-session series is specially designed for beginners to yoga who are 50+. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar yoga to help build strength and flexibility, develop your balance and bone strength. And relieve stress! Designed for total beginners and students who want a better understanding of the foundational poses of Iyengar Yoga.
Each 60-minute session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. You will get the most out of the classes if you attend them all. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to participate in the Yoga for Seniors and Yoga for Healthy Aging classes.
This series is best suited to those who are 50+ and ambulatory. You should be able to get up and down from the floor on your own, using a chair if needed.
The program will be held live-online via Zoom. Sarah will lead you through using common household items as props and help you develop a sequence you can practice in between class sessions. She will get to see you in your home setting and advise you on what to do. You will have time to ask questions. And, we will send out the recording after class so you can practice to it throughout the week.
