Saturdays 9:30 – 10:45 am starts September 19th!
This 4-session series is specially designed for beginners. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar Yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. This series is intended for students who want an understanding of the foundational yoga poses. This is an active class, excellent for those who are totally new to yoga or new to Iyengar Yoga.
Each 75-minute session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. You will get the most out of the classes if you attend them all. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to enter Level I classes.
This series will be held live-online via Zoom. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to practice yoga at home. Leah will lead you through using common household items as props and help you develop a sequence you can practice daily. She will get to see you in your home setting and advise you on what to do. You will have time to ask questions. And, we will send out the recording after class so you can practice to it throughout the week.

Leah Greenberg Flaks is a graduate of Adeline Yoga’s teacher education program and a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She has practiced yoga in the Iyengar tradition for 3 decades after using it to heal from a dance-related back injury. Her journey included demonstrating trikonasana for BKS Iyengar himself in Berkeley’s Tilden Park. She passes along to her students this drive to find natural balance of body, mind and breath through daily devotional practices of asana, pranayama, chanting and study of yoga philosophy.
Come enjoy her warm and welcoming classes where students of any age, body type, or ability can come to practice Iyengar Yoga.
