Back pain is a regular ailment of modern life. Yoga can help! There are many way we can help you address your needs, whether you have a catch in the back, a nagging injury, a persistent pain or a congenital condition. This 3-hr course will help you develop a toolkit of approaches to help you understand your pain and improve your experience of well-being.

In this workshop, we will focus on how to modify key poses for back pain, and how to practice specific poses that will help you care for your back. You will learn how to use the ropes, the wall and other props to help you build strength and feel elongation in your back. And, you will get to experience a variety of poses that specifically soothe the sacrum, low back and spinal areas.

Who is this program for? It is best for students who have some yoga experience and want to practice consistently. It is wonderful for anyone who feels occasional pain due to stiffness, compression, posture and misalignment. Got scoliosis? You are most welcome! Sciatica, scoliosis, muscular pain, sprains, low back and sacrum issues, yes we can help!  Slip disc and spinal stenosis usually need more than modifications.  Consult with us if you aren’t sure whether this workshop is right for you.
