with Cynthia Bates
Second Saturday of each month @ 2-4pm
July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10
In this monthly course, you will learn how to manage back pain to improve your well-being. Recent studies on Iyengar Yoga have showed the effectiveness of yoga on minimizing, healing and correcting the underlying causes of back pain. This course will give you exercises you can do to manage pain as well as practices for preventing future pain.
Students are encouraged to attend Cynthia’s Wednesday back care class and short home practice assignments will be given.
This course is good for those new to yoga, or wanting to get back into yoga. It is also appropriate for people with muscle strain, disc herniation, scoliosis, and both lower and upper back/neck conditions.
Drop-ins are welcome. You do not need to attend all the courses in the series.
