Padmasana or “Lotus Pose” is a seated asana requiring both flexibility and stability in the hip, knee and ankle joints. Come join this “Step It Up!” workshop to explore a sequence of asanas that, with regular practice, can:
-Bring mobility and flexibility to the hip joints,
-Increase circulation to the pelvis and lower back
-Create lightness and stability in the spine, and
– Develop a keen awareness of the interplay of joints involving the legs
See why the foundational aspects of Lotus Pose can open tight hips and buttock muscles while elongating the groins and create supple and strong legs. Appropriate for Level 1 and 2 students with minimum of 6 months study of Iyengar Yoga – an important workshop for those level 1 students who want to “Step It Up” to Level 2 classes.
