Inversions are the cornerstone of our asana practice, but not always easy to teach. This weekend workshop will help yoga teachers develop their understanding and confidence around headstand and shoulderstand in particular.
We will focus on:
We will focus on our personal practice and developing our core teaching skills including linkages between poses, moving deeper in our understanding and teaching, and evolving our students’ practice within a greater range of bodies and situations.
We will look at teaching shoulderstand and headstand – the classic asana plus variations both on the wall and off the wall. We will explore the ways props can enhance the students experiences of the asana. Participants will get feedback on their teaching and gain confidence working with their students in a variety of situations.
This weekend course is geared toward teachers who are not yet CIYT and have some experience teaching inversions. It is open to serious students, teachers-in-training, teachers of yoga from any tradition and CIYT.
