This 10-session series is specially designed for beginners. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. This is the perfect place for total beginners, or students who want a better understanding of the basic yoga poses. All body types and abilities are welcome.
Each session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to enter Level I and Level I / II classes.
Interested? You are paying for up to 10 sessions. Makeups can be made at any other Yoga Fundamentals class. Note: This series is offered at a special discount. Once you have started to use your Fundamentals series pass, no refunds or credits on it are permitted.
Want to join the class but cannot attend the whole series? Though students are encouraged to attend consistently throughout the series, drop-ins are welcome.

Advance Your Practice with Allan Nett
Saturday, June 21st 1 – 4pm
The unique quality of Iyengar yoga is its ability to advance your practice using your own powers of introspection. You can explore advanced poses in a safe, systematic way. And at the same time look inside at your own mind and its patterns.
Seasoned Iyengar teacher Allan Nett will take you on this journey inside. In this workshop you will build up to intermediate and advanced poses and experiment with longer held timings.
This is a wonderful opportunity to test your own assumptions and develop your practice.
Prerequisites: Please, no serious injuries or illness. All students should have a minimum of 6 months experience practicing yoga.

Touching the Heart of Iyengar Yoga with Rebecca Lerner

This weekend with Rebecca Lerner is an incredible opportunity. Rebecca Lerner is a nationally-recognized Senior Iyengar teacher. She is known for her devoted study, and for her deep connection with students. During this weekend, you will be lead deeply into the asanas in a fresh, insightful and meaningful way through Rebecca’s ability to weave asana and yoga philosophy in a practical manner. Rebecca’s gentle and dynamic teaching style brings each student a heightened yogic experience. Share and enjoy the enthusiasm and inspiration found in her classes!
Rebecca Lerner is a seasoned and highly-respected teacher in the Iyengar community. A Senior 3 Iyengar instructor, Rebecca is co-director of the Center for Well Being, home of the Iyengar Yoga institute of Central Pennyslvania. She has been a devoted yoga practitioner since the mid-70’s and travels regularly to Pune. Rebecca is an assessor for Iyengar teacher certification, Chair of the IYNAUS Ethics Committee and conducts workshops and teacher training programs nationally. Rebecca and her husband, Dean, have 3 children and live in Lemont, Pennsylvania. This workshop is open to all who have had at least 6 months Iyengar Yoga experience. Friday 1:30 pm session will be for yoga teachers only.
