Inversions give us the boost we need to continue on, if our energy is low or if we simply feel a little flat. These inversions – such as shoulderstand and headstand – benefit all the major systems of the body so that they function properly.
In this workshop we will build a strong foundation for our inversion practice. Wherever you are in your practice, we will build from there. If you are nervous about going upside down, we will work to meet that fear with equanimity. If you are just learning to kick up into inversions, we will work to strengthen and stretch the arms and legs to help find a lighter, more uplifting practice that brings us into the balance.
The workshop is not suitable for those completely new to yoga. It is recommended that students have at least 6 months of practice with an Iyengar Yoga teacher.
You will need basic props for this workshop: a yoga mat, blocks, 4-5 blankets, and a strap.
This workshop will be held via Zoom. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to practice these poses at home. Deidra will get to see you in your home setting and advise you on what to do. You will have time to ask questions. Plus, you will have a class recording to support you afterwards.
This workshop will be recorded, all who are pre-registered will receive the recording.
