The New Year presents a wonderful opportunity to get grounded and clear – so that you can grow as a person. Iyengar Yoga will help you do that!
Whether you’re completely new to Iyengar Yoga or aching to continue your explorations, this immersion is the perfect opportunity to develop yoga roots at your own pace. Over three days, we’ll build on the essentials you have already established while learning new poses and practices.
This weekend will be all about nourishing yourself through the foundational aspects of Iyengar Yoga: asana, breath awareness, chanting, deep rest and yoga philosophy—all wrapped in a fun, welcoming environment with time to connect and relax.
You can expect:
Yoga roots are amazing anchors, helping you to feel more resilient and steady. The group practices, meal and time within the studio community will provide you with tremendous support and stability. By the end of the immersion, you’ll feel more centered and nourished.
This is for students who are relatively new to Iyengar Yoga, whether or not you attended the first immersion. We recommend you have less than two years of consistent practice. If you’re eager to deepen your exploration of yoga in an active and engaging way, this is for you!
It’s okay to be stiff or unfamiliar with some poses! You’ll be supported in a space where you can grow and learn at your own pace.
It will be held in person at Adeline Yoga Studio in Berkeley, CA
**Your dietary preferences and restrictions will be accommodated to ensure a shared meal that resonates with all participants.
“I loved our immersion weekend! I felt like the pace was just right… Anneke listened closely to us and adapted her teaching to address and embody our questions. She’s also such a bright and engaging spirit that she helps the rest of us stay engaged and curious. It felt like a safe place to learn and also to “stretch” – try new things. I appreciated learning more about the philosophical roots of Iyengar yoga as well as the founder. And the food was delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful community experience.” – V. C.
“As a new student…it was all upside for me. I learned a lot! I really enjoyed the group and energy – and the chanting..Adeline Yoga offers great teaching and a great community. The studio brings a lot of light to many people. ”
– Jeff J.“My body still feels great, which goes hand in hand with Anneke’s teaching and pacing of the practices.” – Hallie B.
