A special in-person workshop with Melinda Morey
Every day, we are confronted by an endless stream of stimuli, people and situations, which pull us out of ourselves. This can lead us to forget our essential nature, and instead feel subject to the whims of the world.
Patanjali describes this situation succinctly in sutra 1.4 Vritti Sarupyam Itaratra – which in simple terms states that when our inner “see-er” is not identified with its-Self, then it is identified with the outer world, the thoughts and fluctuations of the mind. We all know this experience of feeling cut off, from ourselves as well as from some greater sense of wholeness. The well of nourishment has run dry and we feel depleted and disheartened. At this juncture, we can immerse ourselves in our practice to restore inner balance.
This restorative workshop is designed to take you systematically deeper into yourself, through a series of actions and restorative postures aimed at illuminating the indwelling Self as it resides in the body.
“You do not need to seek freedom in a different land, for it exists with your own body, heart, mind, and soul.”
― B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life
