There is really nobody in our modern culture who doesn’t experience some neck and shoulder tension. When it is not addressed it can turn into a chronic problem that causes headaches, jaw tension and general discomfort.
Sachiko will offer postures to help release current neck and shoulder tension as well as re-pattern the muscles and alignment of the neck and shoulders to avoid future pain. Participants will gain more complete understanding of neck and shoulder care to apply to their practice.
Who is this program for? It is best for students who have some yoga experience. It is wonderful for anyone who feels general stiffness and occasional pain due to compressions and minor misalignment. It is also suitable for those wanting to learn basic movements and strength building so they don’t injure themselves. If you have major injuries, please contact Sachiko before registering.
This workshop is open to all levels of students. It is in-person at our Berkeley studio.
