Inverted poses like Sirsasana (headstand) Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand) and Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm balance) restore vitality, confidence. Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) has a balancing and tranquilizing effect on both the body and the mind. Together, these inversions help restore vibrance to our life and bring about physiological balance. Yet, for many, tight shoulders and perceived lack of strength in the arms make them challenging.
In this workshop, Anneke will help you to create a solid foundation for building your practice of these powerful inverted poses. You will learn how to create both the mobility and strength needed in the shoulders, neck and upper back for all of these poses. Alternatives will be given for those just beginning to work up to these poses or with neck and shoulder issues.
