This 8-session series is specially designed for beginners. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. Designed for total beginners and students who want a better understanding of the foundational poses of Iyengar yoga. All body types and abilities are welcome.
Each 75-minute session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. You will get the most out of the classes if you attend them all. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to enter Level I classes.

*Note: This pass is offered at a special discount and is good only for the Fundamental series you enrolled in. Anyone may purchase this specially priced package – at any time – one time only. Students are encouraged to take the series more than once if they miss 2 or more sessions.
Drop-ins are allowed to this class. Students may also use any regular class pass to attend.
Sarah Berelowitz is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Intermediate Junior 1 level. She has recently moved to Oakland, CA from London, UK where she studied with Alaric Newcombe and undertook her teacher training with Penny Chaplain and the late Sylvia Prescott. Having experienced the benefits that yoga brings, Sarah wants to pass on her knowledge and understanding to her students, no matter what their level of experience. Sarah plans her lessons to build confidence and encourage personal development, ensuring that each student feels comfortable and tended to on an individual basis.
