Beginners are full of curiosity and enthusiasm! Letβs devote a weekend to be together at the studio for an immersion that offers time for practice and conversation.
Over three days you will get a more full introduction experience of what Iyengar Yoga has to offer including asana, breath observation, chanting, yoga philosophy and relaxing time to be together.
Each day we will do a yoga practice that includes chanting, active and restorative asana and time for conversation. On Saturday we enjoy a meal together – and a movie! You will enjoy getting to meet other students and get to know both your teachers and the studio on a deeper level.
We know that beginning any new practice can sometimes be intimidating. We want to invite you in and create a fun time for learning and experimenting.
You can expect to:
After three days you will feel restored, grounded and connected to both your body, your heart and your yoga practice.
This is for students who are relatively new to Iyengar Yoga. Ideally, you would have less than a year practicing consistently with a certified yoga teacher. Please, no more than 2 years experience. If you need classes that are especially gentle paced, this is probably not the right weekend for you, yet. Our yoga practice over this weekend will be mostly active. It’s ok to be stiff! It’s good to be new! Come as you are!
It will be held in person at Adeline Yoga Studio in Berkeley, CA
**Your dietary preferences and restrictions will be accommodated to ensure a shared meal that resonates with all participants.
“For me, these Immersions are all about filling in elements… I experience increased concentration and focus; energy feedback and exchange with my peers; and knowing that my teacher can effectively see me and offer more personal, structured instruction for improved posture and alignment.Β The weekend was just what I needed and I will sign up for any of these in the future. The format, timing, progression of posture over three days worked great for me.” – Alanna S.
“I discovered Adeline Yoga on zoom.Β As a new student, and probably the least experienced practitioner in the class, it was all upside for me. I learned a lot!Β I really enjoyed the group and energy – and the chanting..Adeline Yoga offers great teaching and a great community. Β The studio brings a lot of light to many people. ”
