This special 4-session series is specially designed for those who are new to Iyengar Yoga. You will learn the foundations of Iyengar Yoga to help you build strength and flexibility and relieve stress. This series is intended for students with some yoga background who want a better understanding of the foundational poses of Iyengar Yoga. All body types and abilities are welcome. This will be a relatively fast-paced class.
Each 75-minute session will build upon the prior class in a progressive manner. You will get the most out of the classes if you attend them all. Upon completion of the series, you will be prepared to enter Level I classes.

Drop-ins are allowed to this class. Students may also use any regular class pass or fundamentals pass to attend.
Natalia Ferreris a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. She found her first Iyengar class ten years ago while going through a rough period of cultural adaptation and depression after moving from her home country of Venezuela to the Bay Area. Since then, the depth of the Iyengar method and the powerful teachings of many brilliant teachers of this lineage have supported and nourished Natalia’s body, mind and soul. In 2016 she completed a 3 year teacher training program under the direction of Senior yoga teacher, Gloria Goldberg.
Natalia loves to teach classes that involve themes that bring awareness to an intricate set of actions necessary to perform an asana, integrating the breath and refreshing the mind with references to the yoga sutras. Natalia is a plant lover and a long time Tarot student. She enjoys hiking with her dog Calla the staffie.
