Prashant Iyengar once said: “Asanas are not there for you to work on. Asanas are there for them to work on you.” His words suggest an interesting shift in perspective for us. This does not mean there is no work involved — but as Prashant says, it’s a “work-in,” not a “work-out”!
In these three special two-hour classes, come explore how asanas work on us — on our body, our breath, and our mind. Learn how to experience your practice as a kitchen in which your consciousness gets prepared through asana and pranayama. What recipes can we find to produce those qualities that practice is supposed to result in: tranquillity, sublimity, equanimity, neutrality, and many more?
Inspired by the teachings of Prashant Iyengar, this series is recommended for students with at least 2 years of regular practice in the Iyengar tradition.
