Padmasana or “lotus pose” is considered the most stable and auspicious of meditation seats. It requires both mobility and stability in the hip, knee and ankle joints. The process of exploring the movements and actions of padmasana in the lower body not only develop a stable seat but also bring health to the legs and hips.
Anneke will approach ways to to safely approach padmasana as well as a fun practice of poses that feature padmasana. This workshop is geared towards students with at least one year of study in Iyengar yoga. Prior experience with padmasana is NOT required.
