Have you ever noticed that you only get sick when you are tired, stressed, depressed or overworked? The change of seasons and cold weather can also put stresses on our body. We can bolster our body’s natural immunity to illnesses and disease by deeply resting and restoring harmony to our body, mind and spirit. B.K.S. Iyengar, one of the most pre-eminent yoga teachers and healers of our times, gifted us with yoga sequences specifically designed for this purpose.
Join Jessie as she leads you through a sequence to build and regain your body’s resilience to stress and strain. Jessie will provide both Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine tools to boost your immune system in times of need.
Please come prepared to practice asana. Students must be able to do headstand and shoulderstand for a minimum of 5 minutes each, or know the appropriate alternative poses.
This workshop is offered as part of the Sadhana Studies program. Drop ins are welcome!
