Requirements for application

A supple body is not a requirement for this program, or for the practice of yoga. Students of all body types who seek the challenge presented by this program should consider applying.

The requirements for this program include:

  • Participants in the general program must have a minimum of 1 year consistent study with a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Applicants for the apprentice program must have a minimum of 2 years consistent study with a CIYT.
  • Commitment to yoga as practiced in the lineage of B.K.S. Iyengar.
  • For Apprentices: Commitment to teach Iyengar yoga exclusively once the decision to pursue Iyengar Yoga certification has been made

Applications due by August 15, 2024.  Please submit your application as soon as you can. You will need time to prepare for an auspicious start for the program.  In August, we will send you a welcome packet.  This will include a required materials list, your first home practice sequences and initial homework assignment.

Notification of Acceptance

We will contact you within 1 week after receiving your application.

Once accepted, your Student Agreement form and first payment are due within 10 days.  This holds your space in the program. Your deposit goes towards your tuition. If you are unable to make a payment within 10 days, we may not be be able to hold your place.

Seeking additional financial support?  Some scholarships and work-study opportunities may be available. Payment Options

Registration is completed in two phases: (1) Application and (2) Payment.  The first payment of at least $500 is due within 10 days of acceptance.

After the deposit, you can make as many payments as you like prior to the start of the program. There are no additional processing fees to do this when you pay by check, ACH or zelle. Your balance is due in full by the first day of the program September 13th.

We offer a paid-in-full bonus! Pay all your tuition in one payment by check, zelle or ACH and receive a goodie bag valued at over $100 – it has the props and necessities you will appreciate when starting the program.

You can pay via credit card the deposit then equal monthly payments through December.  This is how it works:
Deposit of $500 is due within 14 days of acceptance
Subsequent payments will be automatically deducted monthly via your designated account – credit or debit card.  Payments of equal amounts will be withdrawn the same day each month with the last payment being December.
Includes a $70 processing fee

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made before the start of the program will receive a refund minus a $250 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations after the start of the program.
